The persistant challenge of providing local food in an urban center requires creative thinking. Rooftop gardens are sprouting up around the the country and showing promise in the Twin Cities.

Paula Westmoreland designs permaculture systems for restaurants and building managers in Minnesota, and is looking forward to seeing more rooftop gardens in the future.
