VIDEO: From Laos to the Land of Lakes

After immigrating to Minnesota decades ago from a region in turmoil, families from Southeast Asia have leveraged their roots and traditions in agricultural enterprises to thrive.  A network of Hmong family farmers around Minnesota have set up impressive farmers' markets and shopping centers in St. Paul to stimulate economic development.

The Hmongtown Marketplace celebrates the diversity of Minnesota while showing the promise of small scale agricultural and retail enterprises.
