Video: Eastside Recovery’s Ups and Downs

In the first few installments of our Uneven Recovery series, a trend is beginning to develop: communities that were struggling going into the recession are having the hardest time getting back to pre-recession homeownership levels and foreclosure rates. That trend is especially apparent in St. Paul's Eastside neighborhoods, comprised of many new Minnesotans. Stretches of houses remain vacant and boarded up, causing further loss of property value and quality of life  for those who weathered the downturn.
