Activated Voices: Listen to Someone Different

September 19, 2012 By Tom Niemisto, Video Production Specialist

Just as walking a mile starts with a single step, meaningful social change starts with fostering communication within stakeholder groups.

For this week's Activated Voices, we spoke with Zahra Aljabri, the Chief Operating Officer of Muslim Buddy, Inc., a "social innovation catalyst" nonprofit that brings together Muslim community members to economically elevate people, empower women, and stimulate cultural expression in a community that is too often isolated.

Aljabri is a Bush Foundation Fellow and active with the Twin Cities Young Nonprofit Professionals Network.
