Video: New Infrastructure Equals More Jobs

The BlueGreen Alliance is joining a number of other experts, calling on state policymakers to invest in infrastructure. The organization's new report estimated that 114,000 jobs could be created in the state to fix some of Minnesota’s outdated water pipes, roads and other service lines that keep the state running.

    The lack of any reference to broadband infrastructure is both revealing and disturbing for Minnesota’s future.

    Instead of mining operations which will contaminate for 500 years the Boundray Waters area let’s provide infrastructure jobs all across the state.  Infrastructure improvements will in turn foster more jobs.  I agree with Coleman broadband infrastructure is a must for the future.

    I agree with Bill Coleman’s comment re the telecommunications infrastructure, adding that a major use of that infrastructure should be to share information by and about the government - local, state and federal.  We need to assure that information is both accessible and useable to individuals and institutions - information is our most renewable resource.
