Video: A Better Wage is Possible
Imagine working two, even three jobs and barely getting by. It's not a movie script, but a reality for too many Minnesota families struggle to make ends meet in an economy that's working against them. Increasing the minimum wage to $9.50 will help families in poverty. Many of the workers impacted by low wages are taking their cases to the policymakers with the power to raise the wage in rallies, door knocks, and forums over the next few months. The hope is that legislature acts on a House bill that raises the wage to $9.50 by 2015, with automatic increases for inflation.
